64 MILESTONES - THE GAME OF LIFE Board Game - 1938, John Waddington London & Leeds
The game is played with on a large illustrated board divided up into 64 squares or "Milestones" with period illustrations of the 1930s.
These squares represent some of the 64 Milestones of Life and the player starts when born and passes through the various phases of life, babyhood, schooldays, university, etc. and after marriage, ultimately retires at 64. (Not perhaps today!)
The first player to reach square 64 is the winner. The game and board are separate with the playing pieces contained in a box measuring 22 x 14.5 cms. Great attention to quality and details was invested in this game, the hard card, materials and off-set lithograph.
