FAULKNER'S ZOO MISFITZ - VINTAGE CARD GAME. C W Faulkner & Co Ltd 1920s
Faulkner's made some excellent and quirky card games over the years from Victorian times onwards. This Zoo Misfitz is simple enough in its concept for a card game and the original rule sheet gives two options.
The pack of cards consists of the head, middle and rear of 9 animals and there are two identical sets which totals 54 cards. It maybe easy enough when they are put together when not playing the game, but when the cards are shuffled and players are picking up and shuffling similarly coloured segments of the animals it's perhaps not so easy to see the whole picture (no pun intended).
Interesting animals, in lovely colour palette and beautifully drawn for this amusing and educational came from C W Faulkner. Box in Good condition for age with no splits, just rubbing to edges. Rule sheets excellent and cards good (some minor creasing to image side, but not to the textured backs so card cannot be distinguished).
A piece of printing, graphic and gaming history.
