VINTAGE TOURING SCOTLAND BOARD GAME 1940s/50s By Geographica Ltd
Touring Scotland. The original 1950s board game by Geographia Ltd A competitive game for 2-4 players in which the chief cities and towns of Scotland are visited.
This is not the reproduction brought out in the last few years. This is one of the originals - first brought out in 1930s. We think this one is late 1940s. It has the original painted metal car, little plastic shaker and di.
OBJECT OF THE GAME: Each player is dealt eight cards (two of each colour). The player arranges the cards, so as to form a journey by the shortest route, starting and finishing at the nearest large town to where the players live, or to where the game is being played. Players then set off on their journeys. Along the way watch out for collisions, traffic lights, and ferries!
There are corresponding numbers on the cards and towns to be visited, which are given to enable very young children to easily identify their route. The winner is the first person to have visited their eight towns and returned home.
