COUNTIES OF BRITAIN CARD GAME BY JAQUES - 1930
Complete boxed set of the COUNTIES OF BRITAIN BY JOHN JAQUES AND SON LTD.. Not to be confused with the more usual Counties of England which Jaques also produced from 1870 onwards, Counties of Britain made the foray into Scotland, covering Fort William, Western Highlands, Edinburgh, Lossiemouth, Montrose and Aberdeen. The English Counties are Cambridgeshire, Northumberland, Suffolk, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Durham, Yorkshire, Essex The cards comprise reproductions (in Sepia) of famous railway posters produced by the London and North Eastern Railway. which describe the details of each town or district. Any Number of Players more than three can play. Each county has a key card as well as the main towns therein. When a player has the key card in his possession he knows exactly how many cards for that county he has to collect. Players request cards etc., until the player who has completed the greatest number of sets, when all the cards have been played out - is declared the manner. There is also a second method of play outlined in the original rule sheet. Thick, double-cased box is in excellent condition. The original rule sheet and complete set of cards are also in excellent condition.
