1951 FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN - SOUTH BANK EXHIBITION WOODEN JIG-SAW by Efroc
A fine example of this jigsaw by Efroc Ltd of England which used
an aerial view painting by the artist R Tilbrook of the 1951 Festival of Britain South Bank exhibition in London. The image was also used for a postcard.
Although it has been opened and used, the original Efroc Ltd maker's gold seals have been retained and stuck on each end of the box. There are no dents or paper loss to the box and likewise the same applies to the wooden pieces. Box measures 9.5 x 6.5 x 3"
It contains the original 'Key'Plan' which numbers and lists all the different building, e.g., The Skylon, known as the silver pencil, which was the symbol of the exhibition to be seen top right of the lid image.
The pictures give all the information required. It is complete and would look good framed, although purists would prefer pieces and box stayed together.
