CLOCKWORK TINPLATE LITHOGRAPHED FIGHTING BOXERS TOY C 1940
This is a 1940s version, and most probably English, of the original German fighting boxers. The same principle. Clockwork and two fighters on two wheels each, joined by a thin tin strip of metal. When the mechanism is wound and the toy moves backwards and forwards (about 9 cms each way) the strip flexes jerking the boxers arms, simulating fighting.

VINTAGE MECHANICAL TINPLATE CHICKEN IN EGG TOY CIRCA 1940
In excellent condition this is a fine example of one of the plunger-type mechanical toys made as early as the 1900s. This one dates around 1940 and measures 11cms long and 9 cms high.
