WINKLE'S WEDDING or WHY DID SHE DO IT? VINTAGE PARLOUR GAME BY Chad Valley
There is a little story book consisting of three chapters. THE WEDDING, THE HONEYMOON; TWO YEARS LATER.
The story begins, "After many vicissitudes, my friend Willie Winkle at length triumphed over Samuel Snooks, his rival in love, and was yesterday married to Miss Clara Clamps." It then continues, but at various points there is a blank
The cards having been equally divided up among the players are placed face down. The nominated person reads out the story from the book. Whenever one of the blanks is reached and the reader stops, each player, in rotation turns up one of their card and calls out the word or words on it. The reader recommences and so it continues. Hence hilarious nonsense spikes the story throughout. Old fashioned maybe, but great fun - especially at family gatherings.
Box and booklet in very good condition. The cards are also good with no creases or tears, just a little bit played with
